- Verified concern. Coolant is leaking onto the ground. Water pump is leaking coolant as well as hose connection at front coolant pipe. Recommend to remove and replace water pump / thermostat assembly. Recommend to remove and replace front coolant pipe. Also recommend to re seal valve cover due to oil leak. Oil leak from valve cover is what most likely caused the water pump leak. We cannot offer a warranty on the water pump repair unless the valve cover is re sealed.
- Removed upper engine cover. Drained coolant. Loosened front coolant pipe. Removed wire harness mounting bracket. Removed front throttle body hose / pipe. Removed throttle body. Removed and replaced water pump / thermostat assembly. Installed new hose clamps on front coolant pipe hose. Re installed in reverse order of removal. Cleaned coolant stained areas. Re filled cooling system with fresh coolant. Bled cooling system. Checked and topped off coolant level. Road tested. Verified coolant leak from water pump / thermostat is eliminated. Vehicle is operating correctly. No warranty on water pump repair. Recommend to re seal valve cover as soon as possible.
